Latvia: EUR 9.5 mln worth of fines issues from speed cameras so far this year

According to the information compiled by the State Police (VP), fines imposed by stationary and mobile speed cameras have reached EUR 9,471,625 by the end of September this year, writes LETA.
The total amount of fines imposed for violations detected by stationary photo speed cameras is EUR 7,116,645. The total amount of fines imposed for violations detected by mobile speed cameras is EUR 2,354,980.
The total amount of fines paid is EUR 7,342,385 or 77.5 percent of the amount of fines issued.
As of September 30 this year, 183,679 administrative violations have been detected with stationary speed cameras and 57,329 violations have been detected with mobile speed cameras.
There are currently 100 stationary and 12 mobile speed cameras operating in Latvia.
