Postal companies from many countries also cooperated and used logistics solutions together, for example, Latvia Post organized charter flights to China in February, which also carried postal items from Finland, Ukraine and some other countries.

"Now, of course, the situation has improved, but the challenges remain, because the air traffic flow is variable, and it is still limited," Vilcans admitted, adding that it is especially relevant for shipments to further destinations, such as the USA, Australia, to where air traffic is far from recovering to previous levels.

The head of Latvia Post pointed out that stable air traffic has been restored to certain directions in Europe, but road traffic is also being used. There are also charter flights organized in cooperation with the International Postal Corporation.
