Speaking about the EUR 75 mln allocated in April, Linkaits said that the procurement processes are ongoing and the first repairs have been started. Also, repairs planned in the basic budget are being conducted, and drivers have to deal with inconveniences.

"I believe that support for road repairs should also be provided in next year's budget because the economy will still be unstable," said Linkaits.

The Transport Ministry has requests EUR 145.52 mln for its priority measures in the 2021 budget. The ministry has defined three priority measures for 2021 - subsidies to providers of public transport services, finaning for railway public infrastructure and roads.
