60% of used cars registered in Latvia in H1 are more than 11 years old
Of the 18,566 used automobiles registered in Latvia in January-June 2020, 11,156 are 11 to 29 years old, which is 60% of all used autos registered in said period, and 122 used vehicles registered in the six months of this year are more than 30 years old.
Of the used automobiles registered in the first half of this year, 3,332 or 17% are eight to 10 years old, 2,299 or 12% are five to seven years old, 1,709 or 9% are one to four years old, and 48 of the registered used cars have been built less than a year ago.
The deepest slump in used car registration was recorded in April when 1,970 used automobiles were registered in Latvia. In June, registrations grew to 3,711.
Of all the used cars registered in the six months of this year, 85% have diesel engines and 13% run on gasoline.
With 18,566 used automobiles registered In the first half of 2020, used car registration in Latvia fell 27.4% from the respective period a year ago.
