German passengers from cruise ship Mona Lisa wish to return to Latvia as tourists

In the letters, many of the German passengers pointed out that they intend to return to Latvia as tourists in order to become more acquainted with this beautiful country and its nice people, LETA was informed by the Latvian Embassy in Germany.
The German tourists expressed thanks for the help they received in evacuating the ship, and also the sincere welcome they received in Ventspils and Riga.
LETA reported, the Bahamas-flagged Mona Lisa with 984 people on board, including the ship's crew of 327, ran aground on Irbe Strait on May 4, at 7:25 a.m.
The Mona Lisa, traveling from Riga to Tallinn, ran aground due to errors by the crew, as a representative from the charter company "Lord Nelson Seereisen" told LETA previously.
The ship was pulled off the sandbank on May 7.
