With travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 crisis being gradually relaxed, it is now possible to fly to altogether 19 destinations from Tallinn Airport on 17 international routes and two domestic ones, informs LETA/BNS.

Regular flights are currently available from Tallinn to Frankfurt, Helsinki, Amsterdam, Riga, Copenhagen, Vilnius, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Dublin, Edinburgh, Milan, Oslo, London, Dusseldorf, Girona and Paphos, as well as to the Estonian towns of Kardla and Kuressaare, according to Tallinn Airport.

The reopening of routes from Tallinn to Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv has been postponed by the Estonian government's decision of June 30 to extend the restriction on opening airlines from Estonia to countries with a high daily infection rate until July 14.

The air route to Minsk is planned to reopen from July 15 and that to Warsaw from July 16. The Tallinn-Stockholm air link will be restored during the month of July and the Tallinn-Malaga route from July 11.

Based on the coronavirus infection rate, starting from Monday, July 6, a mandatory two-week self-isolation applies to passengers arriving from Bulgaria, Croatia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Sweden, Romania, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, spokespeople for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Starting from this week, passengers travelling from the European Union to Estonia will not have to self-isolate if they arrive from Austria, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Latvia, Norway, Poland, France, Malta, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark and Hungary.

For passengers arriving from the rest of the world, mandatory self-isolation still currently applies.

Due to the spread of the coronavirus, the Foreign Ministry strongly advises against travel, except for European countries where the rate of infection is below 15 per 100 000 inhabitants in the past 14 days, and where mandatory self-isolation on return does not apply.
