Number of passengers down 1.8% in Lithuania

The number of passengers using all types of transport in Lithuania dropped 1.8% to 192.42 mln people in the first half of this year, according to estimates from Statistics Lithuania.

The majority of passengers used road transport – 188.515 mln people, down 2% y-o-y.


2.45 mln people used railways, up 5.5%, and 948,500 used internal water transport, up 30%. 367,400 used the services of air companies, up 12.7%, and 138,200 used sea transport, down 14.3%.
