Rigas Satiksme municipal transport company sees number of passengers drop 1.5% y-o-y

Print versionRigas Satiksme, the municipal public transport company of the Latvian capital city, carried 12.668 mln passengers in September 2016, down 1.5 % from the same month a year ago and up 14 % from the previous month, LETA was told at the company.

The largest number of passengers, or 6.002 mln people, was
carried by buses in August this year. Also, 3.846 mln people were carried by
trolleybuses and 2.819 mln people by trams in September 2016.
In 2015, Rigas
Satiksme carried 146.806 mln passengers, down 2.5 % from 2014.
Fully owned by the Riga City Council, Rigas Satiksme provides bus, tram and trolleybus services to
passengers in Riga.
