BC, Tallinn, 05.10.2016.Print version
The Estonian state-owned postal and logistics services company AS Eesti Post operating under the Omniva brand which initially planned to buy 30 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) for delivering post is to instead buy 14 ATVs.
The procurement contract with OU Motohobi was signed on Sept. 20 and Eesti Post is to receive the ATVs in December. The total cost of the tender is 40,000 euros.
Spokesman for Omniva, Mattias Kaiv, has previously told that the ATVs would be used instead of bicycles or delivering post. He said that postal workers would not need driver's licenses to drive the ATVs but would instead be trained by the company.
