BC, Tallinn, 28.09.2016.Print version
Canadian airplane manufacturer Bombardier will deliver the first two new CS300 airplanes to the Latvian national airline airBaltic before the end of this year, Bombardier's Vice President Rob Dewar said during the presentation of new CS300 aircraft in Riga.

It is planned that airBaltic would get the first new airplane in November.

airBaltic has ordered 20 CS300 series airplanes, which is the largest CSeries model with about 130-160 passenger seats.

The CSeries program is behind the schedule by two and a half years, and its costs are USD 5.4 billion, which is twice as much as the initial estimates. In total 370 CSeries planes have been booked across the world, including by such airlines as Air Canada, Delta, Korean Airlines and others.

airBaltic had to receive the first CSeries airplane by the end of October, but the time of the first delivery has been postponed.
