Rigas Satiksme municipal transport co sees number of passengers rise 1.4% y-o-y in August

Print versionRigas Satiksme, the municipal public transport company of the Latvian capital city, carried 11.106 mln passengers in August 2016, up 1.4 % from the same month a year ago and up 6.5% from the previous month, LETA was told at the company.

The largest number of
passengers, or 5.302 mln people, was carried by buses in August this year.
Also, 3.252 mln people were carried by trolleybuses and 2.551 mln people by
trams in August 2016.
In 2015,
Rigas Satiksme carried 146.806 mln
passengers, down 2.5 % from 2014.
Fully
owned by the Riga City Council, Rigas Satiksme provides bus, tram and
trolleybus services to passengers in Riga.
