BC, Tallinn, 21.06.2016.Print version
Circle K Eesti AS, which mainly operates filling stations under the Statoil trademark, has reached an agreement to purchase 23 filling stations of the 31 stations operated under the Premium 7 brand from Sevenoil Est OU and its affiliates, informs LETA/BNS.

"Statoil has been waiting for a long time and looking for a way to increase its station network and hopefully soon, after getting a permission from the Competition Authority, we have the opportunity to open 23 new stations in Estonia," head of Circle K Estonia, Kai Realo, told BNS.

Circle K is to buy from Sevenoil Est 11 full service fuel stations with convenience stores and 12 automated fuel stations, after which Statoil will have 77 filling stations in Estonia. The transaction is subject to the standard regulatory approvals and closing conditions. The transaction is anticipated to close in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2017 of Couche-Tard, holding company of Circle K.

Circle K Eesti AS (formerly Statoil Fuel & Retail Eesti AS) has 46 full service and seven automated fuel stations in Estonia as well as one convenience store. The company employs nearly 560 people, slightly more than 500 of whom work in filling stations.
