Amount of fuel sold in Latvia up 1% in 4 months

The amount of oil products (fuel) sold in Latvia reached 380,921 tons in the first four months of 2016, which was an increase by 3,860 tons or 1.02% from the same period last year, informs LETA, according to the information provided by the excise goods authority of the Latvian State Revenue Service (VID).

Fuel in retail trade in Latvia in the first four months of 2016 grew by 7.34% year-on-year.

 

The amount of fuel sold to consumers, sales of fuel used for own consumption and other purposes, and sales of marked diesel fuel declined.

 

Compared to the respective period in 2015, sales of diesel fuel increased by 2.39%, sales of LPG grew 0.84%, and sales of gasoline rose by 4.96%.

 

In 2015, a total of 835,196 tons of fuel were sold in retail trade in Latvia, up 55,980 tons or 7.18% from 2014.
