The fuel retailer Statoil Fuel & Retail Latvia (Statoil) operated with EUR 393.6 million in turnover in 2014, which was 9% less than the previous year, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv.

The company also posted EUR 18.3 million in profit last year, which was an almost two-fold increase on 2013, when the company operated with EUR 9.9 million in profit.

The company informs that it plans to continue expanding its positions in Latvia in the coming years.

As reported, fuel retail company Statoil Fuel & Retail plans to change the name of all of its full-service filling stations in Europe from Statoil to Circle K, as the company informed LETA.

All Statoil filling stations in Scandinavia, Baltic countries, Poland and Russia will change their name to Circle K beginning in May 2016. The new Circle K brand will replace the "Couche-Tard's" convenience retailer's existing Statoil, "Mac's" and "Kangaroo Express" branding on stores and service stations across Canada, the United States, Scandinavia, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Alimentation Couche-Tard acquired Statoil Fuel & Retail in 2012.
