New car sales fell by 2% in September in Estonia

The Estonian Car Sales and Servicing Companies Union AMTEL data indicates that 1,817 new cars were sold in Estonia in September 2015, which is by around 2% less than at the same time last year, LETA/Delfi Ärileht reports.

In the first nine months of the year, 15,662 new cars have been delivered to clients, by 1.9% less than at the same time last year.

 

New cars formed 43% of all cars first-time registered in Estonia in September.

 

3 electric cars were sold in September, after several months of zero sales.

 

The most popular car brand in September this year was Toyota with 299 cars sold, followed by Nissan with 193 cars and Skoda with 178 cars.

 

Sale of utility vehicles grew in September by 43% to 479 and in nine months the growth was by 24.7%.
