Baltic Post, the subsidiary company of Lithuania Post that runs the self-service parcel terminals LP EXPRESS 24 says that last year residents were more active in using self-services. Comparing with 2013, the number of items sent via the terminals LP EXPRESS 24 increased by 2.5 times, and the number of items collected increased by 4 times, reported BC press service of Lithuanian Post.

“We are glad that the number of LP EXPRESS 24 users is rapidly growing. In 2012 or 2013, the terminal was a novelty receiving a cautious attitude from residents and businesses; and today we have loyal customers who both send and collect items suing the terminals,” Juozas Buitkus, director of the company Baltic Post, said.

According to Mr Buitkus, the increase was mainly determined by rapidly growing electronic trade. Lithuanian e-shops take into account the customer’s expectations and search for attractive delivery solutions. Delivery to the LP EXPRESS 24 self-service terminals is chosen more and more often.

The residents of Vilnius are the most active users of the terminals LP EXPRESS 24. The most popular terminals in terms of posting and collection are located at Ukmergės and Ozo streets. The items of S size are the most popular.

The terminals LP EXPRESS 24 can be used to send items not only to addressees in Lithuania, but to receivers in other countries as well. At present, 22 European countries can be chosen as destination countries. Latvia and Poland are among the most popular destinations.
