Alstom Transport Managing Director in Central Europe and Eastern Europe, Valerie Chardon has announced similar plans. Both company representatives said that Rail Baltica would benefit from the company's Pendolino express trains.
Alstom has "deep understanding and experience" about railroad systems similar to those of Rail Baltica. This concerns railroad infrastructure, railway construction, electrification, electric and mechanic devices, rolling stocks, alarm systems, and other aspects related to express trains.
Poland already launched its first Pendolino express train on Sunday.
The train covered the distance between Krakow and Warsaw in two hours and 32 minutes, which is 30 minutes faster than what the old trains could achieve.
