Due to sunny and exceptionally warm weather the flow of visitors arriving to Lithuanian resort Palanga has grown considerably therefore tourist information center (TIC) advises arranging accommodation in advance.

"Every day we receive dozens of requests to find accommodation, I do not even count those who inquiry by phone," says Director of TIC in Palanga city Ala Valuziene.

"Approximately 95% of hotel rooms are currently occupied," says Valuziene.

Local businessmen who had been waiting for the warm weather for quite a while are pleased now since the sun has finally attracted crowds of visitors to Palanga, writes LETA/ELTA.

Those who wish to look for an accommodation in the private sector must also remain patient. There are just a few vacancies left.

Not only Lithuanians go to Palanga city without booking an accommodation in advance. Palanga also receives a number of foreigners who come to the town from the surrounding cities. They spend a day here and go back home in the evening.
