Lithuania to start advertising campaign in Lonely Planet tourism guide

Lithuanian Tourism Information Center has started advertising of the country in a popular tourism guide Lonely Planet.

This was the first such UK-oriented promotion campaign of Lithuania intended for making British people familiar with Lithuania's recreation and travelling variety. The organizers would like to motivate inhabitants of the Great Britain to come and see Lithuania.

 

In the middle of the summer, Lithuania's Tourism Authority has issued handy Vilnius tourism guide with most spectacular capital-city's sightseeing places.

 

Soon Lonely Planet will start advertising Lithuania, and the September edition will be supplemented with a brochure on 16 pages dedicated to Lithuania. Some of Lonely Planet readers will also be granted a trip to the country.

 

Lonely Planet is one of the most popular corporation's BBC media magazines. It has more than 70,000 loyal readers, and majority of them are active tourists spending approximately 32 days a year travelling and spend about 3,000-4,000 sterling pounds for this purpose.
