Georgian delegation, headed by Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Sergo Kitiashvili, is comprised of agriculture and tourism business representatives, reports ELTA/LETA.
Georgian businessmen will be introduced to the agricultural trade climate in the EU and will have an opportunity to present the investment climate of their country and opportunities of cooperation in the area of tourism.
"We hope that Lithuanian companies seeking to import fruits, vegetables, grains and other products will be interested in the forum. Representatives of tourism sector already expressed their interest, as direct flights Vilnius-Tbilisi will be renewed in December," says ICC Lithuania Director General Algimantas Akstinas.
Currently, the trade between Lithuania and Georgia is not very intense. In the first half of the year 2008, Lithuanian export to Georgia stood at 26, 7 million litas (7,75 million euros), and Lithuanian import from Georgia – only 7,8 million litas (2, 26 million euros).
