Baltic Cruises Investment bought EUR 18.5 mln worth of Tallink shares

The purchasing side in an off-exchange trade made with shares of the listed Estonian shipper Tallink Grupp on the Tallinn stock exchange on May 13 in the total amount of 18.5 million euros was Baltic Cruises Investment, the third biggest shareholder in the shipper, which increased its holding by 3.4%, informs LETA/BNS.

In the course of the transaction 22,842,589 shares with a price of 81 cents per share changed hands. The purchasing side was Baltic Cruises Investment L.P., which is registered on Cayman Islands and one of the owners of which is a member of Tallink's supervisory board, Colin Douglas Clark, it can be seen from data of the Financial Supervision Authority.

 

As on Tuesday morning Baltic Cruises Investment owns 5.48% of Tallink, which makes it the third biggest shareholder. In addition, 18.06% of Tallink is owned by investment company Baltic Cruises Holding L.P. According to earlier information both companies are connected to Citibank.

 

Tallink Grupp's biggest shareholder is Infortas AS with a holding of 37.81 percent.
