Saaremaa will have nearly two times less cruise tourists in summer

Print versionSix cruise ships are expected to visit the Port of Saaremaa in summer 2015, which bring to the island two times less tourists than last year, LETA/Meie Maa reports.

Port of Tallinn Marketing and Communications Department Manager Sirle Arro said that this year, the number of cruise ships, as well as the number of cruise tourists visiting the island of Saaremaa, will decrease.
This year, 3,500 cruise tourists are expected to visit Saaremaa, but last year, five cruise ships visited the port of Saaremaa a total of ten times, and brought to the island of Saaremaa 7,594 people.
In 2013, cruise ships visited the port of Saaremaa 14 times and brought a total of 6,456 people to the island.
