Print versionKrasnodar Krai Governor Alexander Tkachev has confirmed that the pop music festival "New Wave" will move from Latvian Jurmala to Sochi, reports LETA, referring to the newspaper "Kommersant".

"I have great news for you. We have won the right to host "New Wave"! And I believe that this is no mean feat. It will will help us draw a huge number of tourists, fill up hotels, create new jobs," announced Tkachev.
He added that the main rivals of Sochi competing for the right to host "New Wave" had been Kaliningrad and Yalta.
