Roof collapses on apartment building in Riga

Print versionOvernight in the Riga suburb of Mezciems, a roof collapsed on an apartment building, informs LETA reffering to the State Fire and Rescue Service.

Rescuers received a call out to the scene at 8:20 p.m. to the five-floor apartment building.
No persons were hurt, as the roof collapse was only partial, and 20 people were evacuated from the building, including five children.
Building experts are currently at the scene to evaluate the safety of the building.
