Lithuania's PM: renovation of apartment-blocks is in line with requirements

Print versionPrime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius visited Ignalina city on Friday where practical actions have been taken to renovate housing according to the new Apartment Block Renovation Programme, writes LETA/ELTA.

The prime minister was assured that full degree of construction industry workforce was gathered and the renovation of apartments was performed on schedule. Butkevicius hopes that the first noticeable results of the renovation will be visible within several months.
''The model of the apartment-blocks renovation has already been launched and a fair amount of buildings will be renovated during the forthcoming heating season," said the prime minister.
Already contracts for 599 houses have been signed with municipalities on the investment plan draft and another 219 agreements will be made this month.
