High activity in private home segment continues in Latvia

Activity in the private home segment remained high in May 2013. The market continues to see, every once in a while, a good offer that is in accordance with demand, and in a favorable location for an adequate price, according to the latest Ober-Haus real estate market overview, cites LETA/Nozare.lv.

Such properties have a certain category of buyers interested in purchasing real-estate, however, there are too little such properties on the market, Ober-Haus points out. There are still too many sellers who are attempting to sell their properties for prices that are too high in the current market situation.

 

Buyers are most interested economical houses, that are between 100 to 150 square-meters in the EUR 100,000 price range.

 

Relatively large interest also remains for plots of land to build private houses for persons not able to find adequate offers on houses that are already built. Buyers are mostly interested in purchasing good plots or land with all communications, and at least an electricity connection.

 

Clients are most interested in offers that are approximately EUR 15 to 20 per square-meter in areas around Riga, and from EUR 30 to 40 per square-meter in Riga.
