Real estate purchase transactions in Latvia increase by 13.8% in Q1

Compared to the first quarter of 2012, the number of real estate purchase transactions increased 13.8% in Latvia in the first quarter of 2013, according to the analysis of the Land Register's data by the real estate company Latio, writes LETA/Nozare.lv.

Housing transactions grew 14.5%. Apartment transactions rose 18.3%. Transactions involving private houses reduced 2.8%.

 

In comparison with the first three months of 2012, the number of apartment purchase transactions in Riga grew 11.2% in the first three months of 2013, the number of private home purchase transactions – 10.2%.

 

Dynamics of prices for standard apartments in Riga

The number of apartment transactions in Riga is significantly larger than the number of transactions involving private houses. 2,000 apartment transactions were registered in Riga in the first quarter of 2013, comprising 90% of all housing transactions in Riga.
