Print versionNow, the information about the extraordinary Lithuania's cultural heritage – wooden houses can be found on the webpage Archimede, in the database of the Kaunas' Wooden architecture. The database was presented in the Department of Cultural Heritage.

The project was initiated by the department and art critic Nojole Luksionyte. It was launched in March, 2011 and is expected to be continued, reports LETA/ELTA.
The information about 70 wooden houses in Kaunas is provided in the database.
It is expected that not only experts of heritage and architects but also owners of the wooden houses will find the information interesting.
Luksionyte said that, nowadays, wooden architecture is recognized as an aesthetic and ethnic value.
