PPA announces EUR 23 mln procurement for construction of SE Estonia land border segment

The Estonian Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) has announced procurement for the design and construction work of a land segment of the southeastern border, the estimated cost of the project is 23.1 mln euros, writes LETA/BNS.
The subject matter of the procurement contract is the design and construction of the infrastructure of the land part of the border in sections four to six, it appears from the procurement notice.
The contractor will build border infrastructure for the 38.38-kilometer land segment of the southeastern border from the northern shore of Lake Vanigojarv to the Vommorski village.
The procurement includes the drafting of a work project for infrastructure sections, conducting additional geological studies and the construction of project layout including patrol tracks, access roads, obstacle fences, animal barriers, power supply and micropipes for data communication.
Bids can be submitted until the afternoon of Oct. 6.
