Estonia: Merko to design, construct 3rd stage of Mustamae medical campus for EUR 33.8 mln

AS Merko Ehitus Eesti, part of the listed Estonian construction group Merko Ehitus, on Friday entered into a contract with the North Estonia Medical Center Foundation to design and construct the third stage of the Mustamae medical campus -- the cost of the contract is approximately 33.8 mln euros, reported Merko`s representative.

The contract includes the construction of the Y block of the medical campus at 19 J. Sutiste Road in Tallinn. Additionally, ground and basement floors of the A and B blocks will be reconstructed, Merko told the stock exchange.


The contract value is approximately 33.8 mln euros, plus value added tax. The works are scheduled to be completed in July 2023.


AS Merko Ehitus group consists of AS Merko Ehitus Eesti in Estonia, SIA Merks in Latvia, UAB Merko Statyba in Lithuania and Peritus Entreprenor AS in Norway. Besides providing construction service as a main contractor, the group's other major area of activity is apartment development. As at the end of 2019, the group employed 694 people, and the group’s revenue for 2019 was 327 mln euros.
