BTA again insures Freedom Monument in Riga for EUR 1.5 mln

Print versionBTA Baltic Insurance Company (BTA) has again insured the Freedom Monument in Riga for EUR 1.5 million, the company informed LETA.

In 2018, the year when Latvia celebrates the 100th anniversary since the
proclamation of independence, the Freedom Monument will be insured against
fire, damage done by water or steam, and other kinds of damage.
"The Freedom Monument is not only a symbol uniting the nation, it is
also an outstanding work of art. At the events marking Latvia's centenary, the
monument will play a special role for both residents and guests of
Latvia," said BTA chairman of
the board Janis Lucaus, adding that BTA was honored to help maintain the
Freedom Monument in optimum condition also in 2018.
BTA has been insuring
the Freedom Monument annually for 14 years in a row.
