SEB Banka has granted a EUR 3.6 million loan to Estonia-based investment company Colonna for buying an office building in Riga, the bank’s spokesman Martins Panke told LETA.

He said that this is the second investment Colonna is making in Latvia. The building in 10 Stabu Street is a former factory that has been transformed into a 3,700 square meters large office building. At present, the building houses Jazeps Medins Riga Music School and a number of other tenants. The new owner intends to continue cooperation with the existing tenants and to ensure a professional maintenance of the building.

Colonna has acquired the property from Estonian real estate fund EfTEN Capital.

“After our first investment in Latvia we have been actively looking for other investment opportunities in Riga. I am glad that after working at length we have acquired this property in the city center with long-term tenants,” said Colonna head Roberto de Silvestri.

Colonna, established in 2006, represents interests of private and corporate investors from Estonia and other European countries. Colonna invests in real estate and other assets and manages capital worth around EUR 250 million.
