Price of Soviet-era apartments in Riga decreased by 56.8% in March y-o-y

Print versionWithin the past 2008 year, the price of Soviet-era apartments in Riga have decreased by 56.8%, according to a study carried out by the Ober Haus real-estate company.

As the company's experts point out, this past March saw the largest monthly fall in the price of un-renovated apartments in Soviet era apartment blocks – by 21.4%, reaching EUR 615 (LVL 432) per square meter.
In March, the average price of one and two bedroom Soviet era apartments was EUR 635 (LVL 446) per square meter, whilst the average price of three bedroom or larger apartments was EUR 595 (LVL 418) per square meter.
