Volume of real estate transactions concluded fell by 42% in Estonia

According to the Land Board real estate transactions concluded in Estonia in the first quarter amounted to a total of 10.7 billion kroons, writes aripaev.ee.

A year ago during the same period of time the transactions volume was by 7.8 billion kroons higher – amounting to nearly 18.5 billion kroons.

 

In comparison to the fourth quarter of the year 2007 when the total transaction volume amounted to 14.0 billion kroons, the real estate transactions volume was 3.3 billion kroons higher than in the first quarter.

 

A total of 12,903 real estate transactions were carried out in the first quarter of the year 2008, the total area affected by the transactions amounted to 23,004 hectares. A year ago the same numbers were 16,920 and 32,412 hectares.

 

In the first quarter more than a third of real estate transactions concluded all across Estonia were concluded in the Harju County – 5,540 transactions with the total value of nearly 6.7 billion kroons.
