The State Construction Control Bureau in Latvia has concluded that another two buildings in Riga pose threat to the safety of the public. The buildings in question are the "Palladium" concert hall and a retail venue Rimi on Lomonosova Street, reports LETA.

According to the State Construction Control Bureau's Director Peteris Drukis, these buildings' load-bearing structures are unsafe, and the bureau's experts have found indications of unauthorized construction work at these properties.

Owners of both buildings have to present proof about the implemented safety measures within a month.

According to Economy Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola (Greens/Farmers), if nothing is done to improve the situation, these venues will have to be closed.

As reported, following a fire incident at Riga Circus, the State Construction Control Bureau found out that the building is in an extremely poor condition and requires immediate renovation works.
