BC, Vilnius, 21.07.2015.Print version
Lithuania Post (Lietuvos pastas) has sold an administrative building in Vilnius (Vivulskis Street), with floor area of approximately 3,000 square metres, for nearly EUR 1.7 million. It is one of the biggest buildings, both in size and in value, sold by the company, reports LETA/ELTA.

Head of Maintenance Department of Lithuania Post, Ugnius Mickevicius, says that one of the main goals of the company is to operate effectively and properly manage its real estate property. Lithuania Post has a number of properties that are no longer used for direct activities. Therefore, auctions were held since the beginning of 2015 in order to sell them. The former administrative building of Lithuania Post in Vilnius was one of such properties.

According to Mickevicius, this was a successful transaction as the building was sold for over EUR 100,000 more than the initial assessment by independent appraisers.

Apart from the building in Vilnius, in 2015 Lithuania Post has sold more than 50 various properties across Lithuania for a total of EUR 500,000. Lithuania Post auctioned real estate property cooperating with company Newsec. Four auctions have been held in 2015.
