Minister: construction of new sections at Riga Stradins Hospital to resume soon

Print versionConstruction of the new blocks at Riga Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital will be resumed soon, this according to Health Minister Guntis Belevics (Greens/Farmers) during an interview with the Latvian Television show "Rita panorama", cites LETA.

Skonto buve CEO Guntis Ravis informed the minister that defects in the structure will be fixed soon. Thus, improvements are to be finalized in the coming days, said the minister.
He said that after the improvement works are finished, construction will be fully resumed.
As reported, the Riga Municipal Construction Board gave permission on April 16 for the start of repair work to correct defects in the new A Wing's Section 6 at Riga-Stradins Hospital and its energy hub.
The defects in question were connected to the hydro-insulation and heat-insulation systems.
