EUR 27,150 for Latvian original music projects

State Culture Capital Foundation (SCCF) in the second stage of its culture program "Latvian Original Music" contest has distributed EUR 27,150, as Jana Verdina, spokeswoman of the SCCF, informed LETA.

29 projects received funding. The largest sum of EUR 2,000 has been granted to Andris Dzenitis's project "(SIN)FONIETTA", Andris Vecumnieks's "Sinfonia C", as well as for Ugis Paulins's "Symphony in Rock".

 

Karlis Auzans was granted EUR 1,600 for composing the score for the production "1984" at Liepaja Theater.

 

EUR 1,500 allocated to Rihards Zalupe's symphony "Namejs", and the composition for symphony orchestra "Juras varti" by Vilnis Smidbergs.

 

SCCF supports the Karlis Vanags-composed "Latviesu dzeza svita" and Raimonds Tiguls' songs for choir and instrumental ensembles.
