After the merger, companies that will belong to Amber Beverage Group will keep their former names and managers. The registration process of the new holding will be finalized in the coming weeks. The head office of the holding will be situated in Riga.

Amber Beverage Group will consist of Latvijas Balzams, distributors SPI Distribution Latvia, SPI Distribution Estonia, and Bennet Distributors in Lithuania, market chain Latvijas balzams veikali in Latvia, and Darija in Lithuania. Another company is said to join the holding soon, offering logistics services.

"We want to u consolidate the management of our companies and create circumstances for hefty development plans. Thanks to the competence, experience, and resources in the region, a new platform will be ensured in order to develop new business directions and acquire new markets," CEO of Amber Beverage Group Seymour Ferreira said.

In 2013, Latvijas Balzams turned over EUR 101.1 million, which is 1.5% more than in 2012. The company earned EUR 5.7 million, which is 3.8% less than in 2012.
