Lithuanian PM promises investors to improve business climate

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius attended the international conference 10 Years with the European Union Investing in Lithuania's Future, which was organised on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of Investors' Forum activity. The prime minister highlighted the improvement of business climate, reports LETA/ELTA.

At the conference, investors working in Lithuania presented the Government with a letter of appreciation for long-term cooperation.

 

Butkevicius noted that improving business conditions is one of the crucial tasks for his Cabinet and thanked the Investors' Forum for its projects that are aimed to attract investments into Lithuania's regions.

 

"It is a great support to the Government. We concentrated efforts and the European Union funds to revitalise the economies of municipalities. We hope for your further assistance attracting investors' attention toward areas creating high added value – research, experimental development and innovation, education and other," the prime minister's statement read.

 

The prime minister thanked the Investors' Forum and called it an ambassador of goodwill for promoting Lithuania as an investment friendly EU country.
