Vilkyskiu pienine's sales dropped by 26% in August y-o-y

Print versionThe consolidated sales of the Lithuania-based dairy company Vilkyskiu Pienine for August 2014 amounted to LTL 27.6 million (EUR 8 million) , a 26% decrease comparing to August 2013, reports LETA/ELTA.

The sales of the company for the
last 12 months (September 2013 – August 2014) amounted to LTL 391 million (EUR
113.2 million), a 16% increase comparing to the same period last year, the
company said in a statement.
The sales of the company for the
period from January to August of this year accounted for LTL 256 million (EUR
74.1 million) and increased by 12% comparing to the same period last year.
In August, its turnover dropped due
to decreased prices of dairy products in the global dairy market. Also, the
drop of the turnover was influenced by the Russian import embargo to
agriculture products.
