Central Estonian health centre will treat Ukrainian soldiers

Estonia will soon become one of the countries of NATO and the European Union, who will respond in affirmative to a request by Kiev to provide treatment or rehabilitation to Ukrainian military who have been injured in battles in the Eastern part of the country, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

"Estonia will this year provide in the Seli Health Centre (healthcare facility in Rapla county, administered by the Defence Ministry – ed .) rehabilitation to 15 Ukrainian soldiers who have been injured in battles," said Defence Minister Sven Mikser. "Next year, Seli will be able to receive up to 70 people in need of rehabilitation from Ukraine."

 

The Minister said that one of the rehabilitation period lasts 12 days to one victim and the care, maintenance, and transportation costs of 15 people are up to 20,000 euros and will be paid by the Estonian Ministry of Defence.

 

Kiev also submitted a similar request to other EU and NATO countries. Currently, it is known that Latvia has provided care to two Ukrainian soldiers.
