36 paintings owned by Krajbanka sold at auction to one person

BC, Riga, 21.08.2014.Print version
Ongoing bankruptcy proceedings for Latvijas Krajbanka (LK) include auctioning 36 paintings the bank had in its ownership, informs LETA.

The auction, held yesterday, went off successfully, with all sold to one private citizen from Latvia.

The start price was listed at EUR 10,385, with eight persons in on the bidding.

Two previous auctions for the works of art failed. The second one's result was ruled null and void after the winner neglected to make payment for them in the seven-day period after auction.
