Skaitmeninis Pasaulis, controlling five online shops, has acquired from the wholesale, distribution and logistics company Sanitex one of the oldest online shops in Lithuania – neriba.lt, informs LETA/ELTA.

The online shop operating for more than 10 years is engaged in household appliance, electronic product and computer sales.

Head of UAB Skaitmeninis Pasaulis, Vytautas Sakalas, says that the online shop which Sanitex had managed since 2004 has earned customer confidence. It is a solid achievement, as in Lithuania consumers still feel rather insecure when buying online. "In addition, with this acquisition we will increase the range of our products. Prior to this we mostly sold computers, now we will be able to offer household appliances and electronic goods," said Sakalas.

UAB Skaitmeninis Pasaulis is engaged only in online sales in Lithuania and Latvia since 2007. It controls such onlines shops as kompiuteriai.lt, asusshop.lt, ishop.lt, acershop.lt and dellshop.lt. The latter was taken over after acquiring 100% of UAB Intix shares in October 2013.

Consolidated turnover of both companies in 2013 is expected to amount to LTL 29 million (EUR 8.4 million). It is projected to sell 15,000 laptops and tablet computers per year. In 2014 the company projects a 30% rise in sales.
