According to Bogatyriova, Ukraine could treat Lithuania's health care system as the example. Ukraine should analyse the changes in Lithuania as the country became the EU member state.

"We got familiar with the law drafts of your country which are approved by the President and the Cabinet. It allows us to think about the common future plans," said Bogatyriova on Thursday.

According to the health minister, Ukraine was ready to cooperate with Lithuania on the expert level as well as to encourage the associations and the public organizations of the doctors of both countries to cooperate.

"We, as the country which is striving for the Association Agreement to be signed, found the reliable partner which will help Ukraine to harmonize and to adjust to the inevitable norms as well as the procedural standards," said Bogatyriova.

Lithuania's Minister of Health Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis agreed that the visit of the Ukraine's health minister was important for the creation of the dialogue between the EU and Ukraine.
