LTV to sever ties with directors of both LTV1 and LTV7 channels

Print versionThe management of Latvian State Television has decided to sever ties with both the director of Latvian Television Channel 1 (LTV1) Baiba Smite, as well as the director of Latvian Television Channel 7 (LTV7) Ija Circene-Grosa, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

Latvian Television board chairman Ivars Belte has confirmed that the company will let go both directors, most likely in July.
As Circene-Grosa did not wish to comment this situation to the business information portal Nozare.lv.
However, she did add that structural changes are taking place within Latvian Television at the moment.
As reported, Belte was appointed Latvian State Television board chairman this past March.
