PKC Eesti saw turnover and profits fall in 2012

BC, Tallinn, 22.05.2013.Print version
The trucks and electronics industry wiring producer PKC Eesti AS saw its turnover and profits fall in 2012 due to fall of demand, Äripäev.ee/LETA reports.

The company's turnover was according to the economic reports 134.3 million euros last year, a fall of 15.9% in a year. Operating profit was 19.4 million euros.

The net profit was 19.1 million euros versus 25 mln euros the year earlier.

The average number of employees was 1,109 in the company versus 1,222 in 2011.

PKC Estonia exported 99.5% of its production. The turnover fall was caused by the fall of demand at the European market, said the company's board chairman Ivo Volkov. Pressure on wages and increased energy costs affected the profit most, he added.
