Achema’s biggest shareholder surprised at president's resignation

Lyda Lubiene, the biggest shareholder of the Lithuanian concern Achema Group and widow of Achema Group president Bronislovas Lubys who passed away in 2011autumn, says that the resignation of current president of the concern Arunas Laurinaitis was a surprise to her and she does not know his reasons, reports LETA/ELTA.

"The Achema Group management is at the hands of the president's team – the president and the board. For the reasons I am not familiar with President Arunas Laurinaitis has resigned from his post. It was my own wish to transfer the management of the concern to the board and the team. As a shareholder I most of all care about the Group's results," Lubiene said. According to her, she learned about Laurinaitis' resignation in an online news site.

 

"An ordinary meeting of the shareholders is scheduled for April 25. I believe that then I and other shareholders will learn more about that happened," she said.

 

Personnel director Jurate Jurgiliene is alse leaving Achema Group. Recently, a number of employees left the concern, among them – Economy and Finance Director, Spokeswoman Virginija Dunauskiene. Last year, Ominitel President Antanas Zabulis stood down from his post of the deputy chairman of the board.
