The review of the Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital's request for additional LVL 10 million funds was postponed at the initiative of the Health Ministry, LETA was informed by Health Ministry Communications Department head Egita Pole.

Pole explained that the Health Ministry did not manage to come up with answers to all questions by yesterday's Cabinet session and urged to postpone reviewing the hospital's request. She pointed out that the ministry is working on the issue and added that the hospital's request will be reviewed during the government's session next week.

As reported, yesterday, the government repeatedly postponed the review of the Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital's request for extra funds required to stabilize the hospital's finances.

The review of the hospital's request was postponed for the second time.

Last week, the government did not decide on the hospital's request as Finance Minister Andris Vilks (Unity) objected to its review. The hospital must prove that the requested amount is justified, emphasized the minister.
