British American Tobacco Latvia achieved LVL 33.6 mln in turnover in 2011

Tobacco company British American Tobacco Latvia posted LVL 279,196 million in profit in 2011, according to information at Firmas.lv.

In 2010, the company posted LVL 2.1 million in losses, but in 2009 the company posted LVL 7.38 million in losses, writes LETA.

 

The company's turnover totaled LVL 33.6 million last year, which was by 1.1% more when compared to 2010.

 

British American Tobacco is the world's second largest quoted tobacco group by global market share, with brands sold in more than 180 markets. Its brands, over 300, include such internationally popular cigarette brands as "Kent", "Dunhill", "Pall Mall" and "Lucky Strike".

 

The group has 49 cigarette factories in 41 countries, and employs more than 60,000 people worldwide. In 2010, British American Tobacco's subsidiary companies sold 715 billion cigarettes.

 

British American Tobacco Latvia employs almost 100 people.
